FCU ranks among the top in Taiwan for new student enrollment

The list of students admitted through the distribution system for the academic year 2024 was announced today (15th). Feng Chia University maintained its record of full recruitment without allocating any reserved places, gaining the trust and recognition of students and parents, and highlighting the achievements and results of Feng Chia's diligent education. For the academic year 2024, Feng Chia University had a total quota of 854 students for the distribution system, all of whom were recruited. This was another affirmation after setting a record of 2,295 students admitted through the application system, the highest in the country. 

Founded more than 62 years ago, Feng Chia University has always competed with its past self in a "small steps, fast pace" manner. The Gongshan Building, which will be completed next year, is the largest construction project since Feng Chia's establishment. Kuma Kengo, the architect of the Tokyo Olympic Main Stadium, designed it. This year's freshmen will study and live comfortably in the master's architecture. The Gongshan Building is not just a new building on the new campus of Feng Chia University, but a new education that will take place there. Between people and the environment, people and space, and people and people, learning and aesthetics are naturally cultivated in subtle ways. 

For this reason, Feng Chia University ranked first among non-medical comprehensive private universities in the overall competitiveness ranking of university presidents in the 2024 issue of Global Views magazine. In the "information and communication technology" field, which is highly related to AI, it ranked ninth in Taiwan and first among private universities. At the same time, it ranked eighth in Taiwan in the field of "engineering, manufacturing and construction", and was the only private university among the top ten. In addition, Feng Chia University received the highest amount of subsidies from the Ministry of Education for private schools for two consecutive years. The school's funding for "industry-academia cooperation" projects exceeded 600 million, ranking eighth in the country, and also ranked first among private schools in the country for seven consecutive years in terms of government funding. The affirmation of university presidents, the Ministry of Education, and all sectors of society is the driving force for Feng Chia's continuous evolution and growth, and aims to enable more students to meet a better version of themselves through education.
