Return to Fundamentals: Physics-based Approaches to Design Small Antennas

We are honored to invite Professor Qiang Chen from Tohoku University, Japan, to deliver a special lecture at our university.

Professor Chen is currently the Director of the Electromagnetic Engineering Laboratory in the Department of Electronic Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Tohoku University. He is a renowned scholar in the fields of electromagnetic engineering, antennas, and microwave technology. He previously served as the Chair of the IEEE Antennas and Propagation Society Tokyo Chapter and was elected as a Foreign Member of the Engineering Academy of Japan.

Under his leadership, the Electromagnetic Engineering Laboratory at Tohoku University has focused on various research areas, including antenna engineering, microwave and millimeter-wave technology, environmental electromagnetic engineering, and computational electromagnetics, making significant contributions to the discipline.
